New surveillance unit for CNC’s investigations division

The National Competition Commission has announced that it will create a new Surveillance Unit within the Investigations Division. The unit will monitor compliance with CNC resolutions. The CNC explains its need for such monitoring with the increased use of procedures like interim measures and commitments.

    The Cabinet approved the change to the CNC with Royal Decree 345/2012, passed February 10, 2012. According to the Press Release, the surveillance unit “consists of a change of name of an existing Unit and its reallocation within the organic structure of the CNC,” and as such, “will not entail any economic cost.”
