Cofeco fines Cemex 10.2M pesos for blocking rival cement shipment

    The Federal Competition Commission has fined Cemex 10.2 million pesos (approximately $800,500) for anticompetitive practices. Cemex, a world leader in cement production, held up a rival’s shipment of imported cement made in Russia at port for months in 2005. The shipment was later turned away.
