Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom announced on Monday that James Fredricks has joined the firm as a partner in the antitrust and competition group in Washington, D.C.
Having previously served as the chief of the Washington Criminal II Section of the Antitrust Division at the Department of Justice, as well as assistant chief of the division’s Appellate Section, Fredricks brings a wealth of experience to Skadden.
In his new role, Fredricks will provide counsel and representation to clients facing antitrust investigations and prosecutions. His expertise will also extend to complex, multijurisdictional cases involving issues such as price fixing, bid rigging, market allocations, no-poach agreements, algorithmic pricing, and criminal monopolization.
A graduate of Emory University, Mr. Fredricks earned his J.D. from Harvard Law School and clerked for Chief Judge R. Lanier Anderson of the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
