Mastercard to Acquire BVNK in $1.8 Billion Deal to Expand Stablecoin Capabilities
Mastercard announced on Tuesday that it plans to acquire stablecoin payments infrastructure firm BVNK for up to $1.8 billion, marking a significant step in the company’s efforts to expand into blockchain-based payment systems. The agreement includes up to $300 million in contingent payments and is expected to be finalized before the end of 2026, according to Reuters.
