Argentina: CNDC to join OCDE Competition Commission

 |  September 25, 2017

Argentina’s National Commission for the Defense of Competition (CNDC) will soon join the OECD’s Competition Committee, official sources have announced. The invitation to join was made by the Secretary General of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), Angel Gurría, through a letter addressed to the president of the CNDC, Esteban Greco.

Trade Secretary Miguel Braun claimed that “the defense of competition is one of the eight pillars of the National Production Plan carried out by the Ministry of Production to generate a more dynamic and innovative economy …”

Together with Brazil and Peru, Argentina is one of three countries that have recently applied for admission to the OECD, a body that brings together 35 countries and has as its core objective the promotion of policies that improve economic and social well-being.
