Australia: Top ACCC exec to step down

After 13 years at the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission, reports say Brian Cassidy has announce plans to retire.

The ACCC’s chief executive said he will step down this May. Cassidy had played a key role in managing hundreds of ACCC staff and remained in the position through various political eras.

The regulator has yet to decide who Cassidy’s replacement will be, say reports.
