Australian-based Discovery Metals Limited has reportedly been given another month to decide on a proposed takeover offer made by Chinese equity firm Cathay Fortune Investment. Cathay offered to buy Boseto Mine, currently owned by Distovery; the offer originally expired January 11 but has now been extended until February 8. The takeover is worth $848 million.
