Canada: Apple hit with wireless contract probe

Canada’s Competition Bureau is reportedly investigating Apple over allegedly anticompetitive contracts the company forced on domestic wireless carriers.

    Authorities announced the probe Thursday, though noted that not wrongdoing has yet been found. Reports say Apple has been served a court order to comply with the investigation, which is looking into certain clauses in Apple contracts made with Canadian wireless companies.

    The Bureau did not elaborate on whether it has approached the leading mobile carriers as part of the investigation.
