Compass Lexecon LLC announced Monday that it has hired Dr. Wei Tan to join the firm in Washington, D.C.
Tan specializes in Chinese competition matters, the firm said, and will also work for the firm from Beijing. Before joining the firm, Tan was the Chair of the Economics Department at the Hanqing Advanced Institute of Economics and Finance at Renmin University of China; he specializes in industrial organization and applied econometrics, the law firm said.
In a statement, Tan said he “cannot be more thrilled” to join Compass Lexecon, and that he looks “forward to working on mergers and other competition matters in the US and China.”
