Commission clears Mexichem-Wavin PVC pipe system deal

The European Commission has cleared Mexichem Soluciones Integrales Holding’s proposed acquisition of Wavin. Mexichem develops, produces, and markets PVC and some pipe systems; Wavin is a pipe systems manufacturer. Although the deal creates a vertical relationship between the supply of PVC and the supply of pipe systems, the merged entity faces continued competition from rivals in the market.
