E.U.: Commission clears Andritz-Schuler merger

The European Commission has cleared the proposed acquisition of the German press lines manufacturer Schuler by the Austrian plants and equipment supplier Andritz. According to the EC, the proposed transaction is unlikely to raise competition concerns, because it would not alter the current market structure and the merged entity would continue to face sufficient competition.
