After receiving voluntary assurances from Clear Channel and JCDecaux, the U.K. Office of Fair Trading has closed its investigation into outdoor advertising. The companies have agreed not to enforce certain provisions contained in their street furniture advertising contracts with Local Authorities. The assurances will make it easier for rivals to compete for advertising.
