Competition, litigation and environmental lawyer Péter Vörös, formerly a co-head of Baker & McKenzie’s Hungarian antitrust practice, has joined Kinstellar’s Budapest office as a partner.
Kinstellar has hired Péter Vörös in its four-lawyer competition and litigation practice in Budapest, where the firm operates under the name Andrékó Kinstellar Ügyvédi Iroda.
Vörös joins from Baker & McKenzie’s Budapest office, locally known as Kajtár, Takács,
Hegymegi-Barakonyi Baker & McKenzie Ügyvédi Iroda, where he spent 17 years, most recently as a co-head of its antitrust offering and head of its environmental group.
He represents corporations and governmental bodies in cartel, dominant position and consumer protection cases before Hungarian and European courts and advises on state aid matters and competition compliance, as well as on multi-jurisdictional merger control and competition filings with the European Commission. His clients are in the telecommunications, energy and financial services industries.
In addition, Vörös is an environmental expert, who advises on compliance and acts for companies in environmental administrative proceedings and cases relating to contamination.
