Italy: Merger not in the cards for Mediobanca, UniCredit

Mediobanca CEO Alberto Nagel denied suggestions that the investment bank is headed for a merger with financial services firm UniCredit, say reports.

    The executive dismissed the merger at a shareholder meeting, noting that a combining of the firms was not in the plans of either company.
