Pietro Merlino has joined the Rome office of Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe as a partner and head of its antitrust and competition practice.
Merlino was based at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton for 19 years, where he advised on merger control, abuse of dominance, anticompetitive agreements, and distribution and licensing issues in Italy and the European Union. He has deep sector experience in life sciences, energy, transportation, and consumer goods.
