Italy’s antitrust and competition watchdog AGCM has fined Sky Italia and 3 Italia a total of EUR 100,000 each for violations of new consumer rights regulations. The watchdog ruled that Sky Italia and 3 Italia had failed to provide consumers with sufficient information to make an informed decision and failed to offer them the possibility of receiving the transcript of the telephone conversation on a “durable medium”, such as an e-mail, USB stick, CD or DVD.
