LG, AU Optronics, Toshiba settle LCD price-fixing charges with states for $571 million
LG Display, AU Optronics and Toshiba have agreed to settle LCD price-fixing claims for $571 million. The agreement will resolve charges brought by 24 states.
The new addition brings the total amount of the settlement fund to $1.1 billion, which is a record for the largest all-cash consumer recovery. Chimei, Chunghwa Picture Tubes, Epson, HannStar Display, Hitachi, Samsung Electronics and Sharp had already settled for $538 million.
