The partners of Elvinger Hoss Prussen have announced that Katrien Veranneman has been promoted to Counsel.
Counsel Katrien Veranneman advises in particular financial sector companies on regulatory matters, including licensing and approvals, bank secrecy, anti-money laundering legislation, sanctions, as well as on compliance matters. She is a European Union law expert and is also specialized in competition law, State aid, and EU litigation matters.
Ms. Veranneman holds a Licentie in de Rechten from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium) and a Master’s degree in European law from the College of Europe (Belgium). She also holds an LLM degree from the Law School at Northwestern University (USA), as well as a certificate in business administration from Kellogg School of Management.
Ms. Veranneman became a member of the Brussels Bar in 1997 and a member of the Luxembourg Bar in 2016. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Veranneman worked as référendaire (legal secretary) at the General Court of the European Union for twelve years.
