The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine has fined milk processing companies UAH 400,000 (approximately $49,468) for milk price-fixing in the Sumy, Poltava, Chernihiv and Kyiv markets. The companies purchase milk from private households for industrial processing.
The fined companies are Hadiachsyr LLC, Wimm-Bill-Dann Ukraine, Bel Shostka Ukraine, Novhorod-Siversky Cheese Factory, Ichnia Powder Milk and Butter Plant, Pyriatyn Cheese Factory, the Pos branches of Romny Diary Plant and Akhtyrka Cheese Factory, the MalKa-trans branches Konotop Dairy Plant and Hluhkiv Butter and Cheese Factory, and the Aromat branch Sumy Dairy Plant. Hadiachsyr, Ichnia Powder Milk and Butter Plant, Ros, MalKa-trans and Aromat have admitted to the competition violation.
