Pakistan: Competition watchdog founder, chairman speaks out on future hopes

The acting chairman of Pakistan’s Competition Commission, Dr. Joseph Wilson, recently spoke with reporters to discuss his time at the watchdog and future hopes for competition policy in the nation.

In his interview, Wilson discusses the eight months he has spent so far as acting chairman as “demanding,” especially considering the lack of human resources. But in the months since he began his position, report sap, the CCP has issued three new regulations.

The regulator said that for the next three years he hopes to establish a “sustainable institution.”
