 |  August 28, 2017

Congresswoman Rosa María Bartra, head of the commission charged with investigating the Car-Wash corruption case, said the working group will summon Edgard Ramírez Cadenillas, former chairman of the pro-investment committee assigned to the “Gasoducto Sur” gas pipeline tender, along with Claudia Hokama Kuwae, Former legal representative of Brazilian construction company Odebrecht.

“With this tax complaint we have a very powerful element on the hypothesis that we’re handling. Brazilian companies and officials colluded to take advantage of the state,” Bartra said.

The congresswoman did not rule out the Commission calling on the testimony of Flavio Bento de Faria, former CEO of Odebrecht in Argentina, who told the prosecution that in 2008 Ramírez presented the GSP project to the company Kuntur TG, the first firm to win a contract for the project.
