The Portuguese Competition Authority (AdC) has carried out dawn raids in the large retail sector. Both suppliers and distributors are included in these investigations for potential anti-competitive practices that harm final consumers.

    The AdC has carried out dawn raids in this sector since the beginning of 2017. So far, 21 locations of 15 companies have been investigated.

    Since the beginning of 2017, the Portuguese Competition Authority (AdC) carried out dawn raids in fifteen companies of Lisbon and Porto to investigate potential infringements to competition law.

    The anti-competitive practices under investigation have the potential to affect different economic sectors with a direct impact on the final consumer.
