Pre-merger notification threshold increased to $77 million

The Competition Bureau has increased the pre-merger notification threshold from $73 million to $77 million. Thus when a proposed transaction will result in more than $77 million in assets in Canada, or in revenues of the target firm that are generated in or from Canada, the Competition Bureau is to be given notice.
