President Obama nominated William Baer to step in after Sharis Pozen’s departure to head the DOJ’s antitrust division. Baer is currently the chair of Arnold and Porter’s Antitrust Practice group and has extensive prior experience at the FTC. He held the positions of Director at the Bureau of Competition, Assistant General Counsel and Director of Congressional Relations, and Attorney Advisor to the Chairman of the FTC.
