Ryanair, Aer Lingus investigation still ongoing

The U.K Competition Commission has revised its statement from yesterday, stating that its investigation of Ryanair’s 30 percent stake in its European competitor Aer Lingus would continue during the lawsuit at the Competition Appeal Tribunal in London.

In its earlier statement, the Commission had said it would suspend its probe due to lack of cooperation from Ryanair. In its lawsuit, the airline claims that the Commission’s investigation would overlap with a separate merger probe by the European Commission.
