    The OFT has referred the completed acquisition of Arriva Scotland West by McGill’s to the Competition Commission. The acquisition raises competition concerns in the local Renfrewshire and East Renfrewshire bus markets. The merger removes the competitive constraint each bus company exerted on the other, and moreover, it creates a monopoly for parts of some routes.
