A new sports arena project is earning criticism from its rivals for allegations of monopolizing the event ticket market, say reports.
Sports Hub holds exclusive rights to sell all Hub event tickets through Sports Tix Hub, say reports, meaning rivals like Sistic and the Esplanade are squeezed out of the competition.
According to reports, Sistic attempted similar practices for events at the Singapore Indoor Statium and the Esplanade, but was fined $1 million by the Competition Commission of Singapore for anticompetitive behavior.
Rivals are now calling on the CCS to similarly take action against the Hub. The project is also criticized for faulty ticket booking software, say reports.
