Stagecoach-First Devon & Cornwall bus merger referred to Competition Commission

The U.K. Office of Fair Trading has referred Stagecoach Group’s proposed acquisition of First Devon and Cornwall’s North Devon business and assets to the Competition Commission. The OFT is concerned that the merger will reduce competition on local bus route sections in the Barnstaple area.
