Taiwan: Officials interview 4G bidders

Taiwan’s National Communications Commission announced Monday it has interviewed the seven bidders looking to snag 4G telecommunications licenses in efforts to analyze each candidate’s plans for operating 4G services. Reports say the interviews, the results of which will be reviewed by the NCC, included Chunghwa Telecom, Waiwan Mobilel, Far EasTone Telecommunications, Asia Pacific Telecom, Ambit Microsustems Corp, and Shinkong Group. The parties declined to elaborate extensively on the interview process, though all felt confident in their performances. Reports did not disclose how many licenses the NCC plans to delve out.
