Trial date set for eBook price-fixing case: June 3, 2013

 |  June 25, 2012

U.S. District Judge Denise Cote (Manhattan, NY) has set a trial date for the eBook price-fixing case brought by the U.S. Department of Justice. The trial will be held in a little less than a year, on June 3, 2013. Apple, Macmillan, and Penguin have chosen to defend their eBook pricing policies in court.

HarperCollins, Simon & Schuster, and Hachette had already settled with the DOJ, and plan to submit proposed settlements to Judge Cote within a few months to resolve state antitrust claims arising out of the same actions.
