After concerns were raised over Boparan Holdings Litd’s proposal to buy R F Brookes and Avana Bakeries, Boparan has agreed to sell its Christmas pudding manufacturing business. The move means the merger will not be put forth to the Competition Commission. The OFT has approved Sargents Bakeries Limited to buy the Christmas pudding manufacturer. The remedy has been under consideration by the OFT since March of this year.
