U.S.: DOJ issues Second Request for MetroPCS/T-Mobile merger

The Department of Justice has requested more information via a Second Request from MetroPCS Communications, Inc. in relation to its proposed deal with T-Mobile. The Second Request extends the waiting period for an additional 30 days unless terminated by the DOJ. The two low-cost wireless companies announced plans to merge earlier last month. Despite the Second Request, MetroPCS says the company is confident the deal will be approved by the first-half of 2013.
