Two of the UK’s largest electronics retailers are reportedly in talks to merge, a deal that would create a FTSE 100 conglomerate.
Dixons and Carphone Warehouse have confirmed they are in merger talks but noted they are only in a preliminary phase.
Reports say the merger discussions began with Carphone’s proposal to acquire Dixon wireless phone operations, but escalated to full-takeover talks.
