Kyrylenko previously served as the governor of Donetsk Oblast from 2019 to 2023. On September 5, following government approval, President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree dismissing Kyrylenko from his position as head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration.

Furthermore, the Verkhovna Rada also approved the dismissal of Olga Pishchanska from her role as the head of the AMCU, a position she had held since July 2020.

The AMCU serves as an independent regulatory body responsible for ensuring fair competition and market regulation in Ukraine.
