US: Apple CEO must give deposition in antitrust case

Apple Inc CEO Tim Cook has beenordered to give deposition in an antitrust lawsuit against Apple and other tech companies, according to reports. The lawsuit alleges that the companies colluded and secretly agreed to not coax each other’s employees to switch companies. While Apple’s lawyer objected to it, US District Judge Lucy Koh in California has ordered Cook to give deposition. The lawsuit is a privte action brought on behalf of employees of the comapnies. A similar case with the US Department of Justice in 2010 investigated this matter and ended with a settlement.
