US: Apple urges employees to learn antitrust policy

 |  November 21, 2013

Apple Inc. reportedly sent an email to its employees this week reinforcing the company’s standards on how workers should at, including reminders on the importance of adhering to antitrust law.

Reports say the email encouraged employees to review the Business Conduct Policy and included sections penned by SVP and General Counsel Bruce Sewell reinforcing Apple’s alignment with antitrust law, promoting the “honesty, respect, confidentiality, and the critical obligation of every Apple employee to adhere to legal principles like antitrust and anti-corruption laws,” say reports.

Apple has been the subject of some major antitrust lawsuits, most notably in the US Department of Justice’s case against the firm for fixing eBooks prices.
