Gary Slaiman, formerly head of Washington Strategic Government Relations and Counseling at the law firm of Morgan Lewis & Bockius, has formed the new firm Slaiman Consulting LLC where he will continue to represent companies and individuals with issues before Congress and the Administration. In addition, Slaiman will serve Morgan clients as a consultant to the firm.
“This new venture allows me to continue to work with my long-term clients and provides the flexibility to engage new clients in complex government affairs challenges. “ said Slaiman.
Slaiman, a leading lawyer in the Washington region for the last three decades, was a partner at Morgan, where his practice focused on Congressional oversight and investigations and advising clients with complex policy issues before Congress. He has built a career representing clients in industries facing major change or disruption, including potential regulatory or liability challenges, technology disruption and market consolidation.
Slaiman has represented parties to major mergers including NBC Universal, US Airways and Universal Music Group. He also has expertise in the sports, technology and telecommunications sectors as well as in the areas of competition and intellectual property policy.
