Digital Turbine Inc., a mobile software company that moved to Austin recently, has completed a merger with Durham, North Carolina-based Appia, the company announced Monday.
Digital Turbine which changed its name from Mandalay Digital Group and relocated from its former Los Angeles headquarters to Austin in January, had announced its intent to merge with Appia in November. Digital Turbine was founded in 1998 as eB2B Commerce.
“We are thrilled to close our transformative merger with Appia, creating a single, unique, mobile app and ad ecosystem across Android and iOS for Digital Turbine,” stated Bill Stone, Digital Turbine’s CEO.
