US: Glencore subsidiary sells pasta unit to Post

A press release announced Monday announced Post Holdings will acquire Dakota Growers Pasta Company. The buyout will transfer ownership of the pasta company from its current owner Viterra, a Glencore Xstrata subsidiary.

According to the release, the transaction includes $370 million in cash for Viterra, subject to adjustment.

Dakota Growers will remain an independent brand and run separately from other Post businesses. The parties expect the deal in January of next year.
