US: New Associate Director of Fordham Competition Law Institute named

Fordham Law School announced the appointment of Karen Hoffman Lent as associate director of the Fordham Competition Law Institute (FCLI). Lent is a partner at Skadden and a 1991 graduate of Fordham Law. She joins FCLI Director James Keyte in providing leadership for the institute, which will present its 45th annual conference on international antitrust law and policy at Fordham on September 5-7, 2018.

In antitrust and sports law, she has extensive experience counseling professional sports leagues and teams, and she has represented the NCAA, NBA, NFL, NHL, Office of the Commissioner of Baseball, and Arena Football league in litigation, and she has provided advice on various issues to Madison Square Garden, the PGA Tour, and the Colleague Licensing Corporation.

    Sports Business Journal named her a 2016 Power Player in sports law and featured her on its 2013 40 Under 40 list. She is admitted to the bar in the state of New York and for the US courts of appeals for the second, fourth, and ninth circuits, as well as the US district courts for the eastern and southern districts of New York.
