Sidley Austin LLP has brought two competition law experts onto its team in its Washington, D.C. office. The law firm has announced the addition of William Blumenthal, who is a former general counsel of the Federal Trade Commission and who will be joining the firm from Clifford Chance LLP. Blumenthal’s expertise includes merger and acquisition advising. Sidley Austin will also be welcoming Kenneth Glazer, who is a former deputy director at the FTC’s Bureau of Competition. Glazer is making the move from K&L Gates; he has represented clients like The Coca Cola Company before the US Department of Justice.
