    “The launch of HealthyCompetition.gov marks a significant step in our ongoing efforts to safeguard fair competition in healthcare,” said Khan. “By soliciting input from the public, we aim to root out monopolistic behaviors that undermine the delivery of essential healthcare services.”

    HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra echoed Khan’s sentiments, underlining the Biden-Harris Administration’s commitment to promoting competitive healthcare markets and reducing costs for patients and providers. “It is our responsibility to combat monopolistic and anti-competitive practices that hinder Americans’ access to quality healthcare,” said Becerra. “The insights provided by the public will play a vital role in identifying and addressing these harmful behaviors.”

    The online portal enables individuals to report potentially unfair practices directly to the FTC and the Justice Department’s Antitrust Division. Complaints will undergo preliminary review by agency staff, with a focus on identifying those that raise significant concerns under antitrust laws or fall within the purview of HHS authorities. Selected complaints will then undergo further investigation, potentially leading to the initiation of formal probes.
