Per Bloomberg, the private equity firm has enlisted investment bank Evercore Inc. to advise on the possible divestment, which may formally begin early next year. The discussions are still in the preliminary phase, and Marlin could ultimately opt to retain ownership for a longer period, the report said.

Founded in Linköping, Sweden, Medius offers automation software designed to streamline accounts payable processes. Its customer base includes well-known brands such as Liberty, Puma SE, and Lush Cosmetics, according to Bloomberg.

Marlin Equity, known for its focus on software and technology investments, acquired Medius in 2017 for an undisclosed amount. Since then, Medius has expanded through several strategic acquisitions, including Expensya, OnPay Solutions, and Wax Digital. In 2022, Marlin sold a minority stake in Medius to Advent International, though financial terms of that transaction were not disclosed, per Bloomberg.
