Osborne Clarke announced the appointment of new partner, Steven Verschuur who will join the partnership on April 1, in Belgium.
An expert in EU law with a focus on state aid, competition, merger control, and trade, Verschuur brings extensive experience in proceedings and investigations before the European Commission and the national competition authorities of Belgium and the Netherlands.
Verschuur has litigated large volume state aid cases in the Court of Justice of the EU and domestic courts, and is also a specialist across several of Osborne Clarke’s key international sectors including retail and consumer, life science and healthcare, and energy and utilities. He has been admitted to the Bars of Brussels and Amsterdam and he will work across both Belgian and Dutch offices of Osborne Clarke.
