Dunkin’ Donuts, the popular Massachusetts-based coffeehouse, has revealed that its store locator feature has been key to the success of its app and payments initiatives, Mobile Commerce Daily reported on August 19.
The app’s store locator includes the contact information and features of every store. The feature was cited by the company as a primary reason the Dunkin’ Donuts app has been downloaded 3.5 million times.
“We know that our fans have a mix of favorite local Dunkin’ Donuts shops, plus ones that they visit while running errands, so it seemed a natural fit to incorporate this feature into the campaign,” Scott Hudler, vice president of global consumer engagement at the company, told the media outlet.
