CashStar to Power QVC’s eGfit Card Program

Multimedia Retailer to Leverage Digital Gifting and Incentives Platform to Provide Personal, Compelling and Convenient Gifting Experience

CashStar, the digital gifting and incentives company, today announced that QVC®, the world’s leading multimedia retailer, has selected the CashStar platform to power its new eGift Card program. Consumers will be able to easily purchase and send personalized eGift Cards anytime, anywhere that can be redeemed for any QVC or QVC.com purchase.

"Personalized eGift Cards are perfect for today’s digital consumer, and we are thrilled to bring these shoppers and QVC together,” said CashStar Co-founder and CEO David Stone. “Along with providing the most personal, compelling and convenient gifting experience, our platform will enable QVC to increase customer engagement and drive sales.”

The Web is an increasingly important channel for QVC, accounting for more than a third of the retailer’s sales. By providing this new gifting option on QVC.com, the retailer will be able to help shoppers who are looking for a convenient and personal gifting experience. Shoppers will be able to choose from multiple card designs or upload their own photo, select the gift card denomination, create a personalized greeting, and select a delivery time – instantly or at a later date. The eGift Cards are delivered directly to the recipient’s email address and have no service fees or expiration dates. Senders are notified when the eGift Card is sent, received and opened, and can resend the gift card at any time.

"We take great pride in providing our customers with quality products and an exceptional shopping experience,” said Alex Miller, vice president of eCommerce and eMarketing at QVC. “Customers will appreciate an eGift Card offering that allows them to control the entire gift-giving experience – from personalizing the look and feel of the card, to selecting the date of delivery.”
