Swiss bank UBS has announced plans to cut 10,000 jobs, taking its overall staff down to 54,000 in what amounts to a 15 percent workforce reduction.
Switzerland, the U.S. and the U.K. will be most heavily affected by the cuts, and will affect front-office investment banking and support staff, reports Reuters.
