Grubhub To Provide Mobile Ordering For Resorts World Las Vegas

Hotels let guests charge food and beverage purchases to their rooms by signing a receipt, but one property is taking a bit of a different approach.

Resorts World Las Vegas is teaming with Grubhub to become the first resort to offer the latter company’s ordering technology, according to a Monday (June 21) announcement.

To that end, guests can order and charge their purchases to the cost of their room or credit card via the restaurant technology company’s app from the resort’s 40 F&B concepts and some retail shops for pickup or delivery to hotel rooms in addition to the property’s pool complex.

More specifically, guests can make orders on the phones with the Grubhub app or scan Grubhub quick-response codes (QR) stationed across the property. They can pay by credit card or room charge.

Also, guests will have the ability to retrieve their orders from a QR-code activated locker for deliveries to the resort’s pool deck.

“Our partnership with Grubhub further expands our goal of providing guests with first-of-its-kind experiences at the resort,” Scott Sibella, president of Resorts World Las Vegas, said in the announcement. “Resorts World Las Vegas is proud to be the first resort to integrate this technology and offer our guests a convenient mobile-ordering solution for a variety of food, beverage and retail items across the property.”

Guests have the ability to place orders from the collection of food and beverage offerings at the property, which provide a broad array of cuisines.

Those cuisines include Famous Foods Street Eats, the resort’s 16-stall culinary marketplace, and Craig’s Vegan, which sells vegan frozen treats.

“Our goal has always been to make ordering food as easy and convenient as possible for hungry diners, and this mobile ordering experience at Resorts World Las Vegas is our latest proof point of that — effectively enabling diners to order from their favorite resort eateries from the tips of their fingers,” said Brian Madigan, vice president of campus and corporate partners at Grubhub.

The news comes as Grubhub expanded to serve 33 million active diners in Q1 2021, signifying a 38 percent year-over-year rise from 23.9 million active diners in Q1 2021.
