LivingSocial Launches New Marketing Tool

MarketingLivingSocial, the online local deals website, has announced the launch of Connect, a tool for its clients to reach out to their customers through personalized communication channels directed towards reengaging with their customers.

    The tool, which was recently tested by over 8000 merchants, would allow merchants to customize their communication channels and provide an enhanced customer experience with incentives and tailored promotion alerts over multiple social media channels, according to a press release.

    “This is a valuable tool to let customers know that we appreciate their business and to keep them coming back,” said Arthur Hartunian of Napa Valley Distillery, who used Connect to promote its Distinguished Bar Club. “We were able to choose an incentive that made sense for our business and was meaningful for our customers.”

    In its testing phase, the tool was used by business to send out over 18,000 customized mails and 8,500 additional offers that were claimed by 10 percent of customers.

    “With Connect, businesses now have new ways to communicate with those customers, reaching them across multiple channels before they ever come through their doors and increasing the chances that newcomers become loyal fans,” said Kerry Lenahan, vice president of product management at LivingSocial.
