Sports Authority Expands Shopkick Integration

Sports Authority has completed integration the shopkick mobile app at its all of its U.S. locations, Mobile Commerce Daily reported on December 23.

Shopkick allows retailers to broadcast loyalty rewards and promotional material with the use of geolocational tracking technology. Sports Authority first partnered with shopkick in 2011.

“Mobile incentives work because they apply proven promotion strategies like coupons, gift cards, and loyalty cards, and enhances them with mobile features like location-based alerts, push messages, and the ability to track customer behavior,” Drew Giovannoli, a Sports Authority sales and operations official, told Mobile Commerce Daily in an interview.
